The long
way around.

Kentucky kid. Murray State Racer. Sixteen years a professional, fifteen-plus countries, five wins across two tours — and a game that is still getting better.

01
IN HIS
OWN WORDS

The first swing came at two years old. Plastic clubs, a plastic ball, and my dad behind the camera filming it — at least until I hit him with the ball.

I grew up in Kentucky and played my college golf at Murray State. I turned professional in 2010, and the first few years were anything but easy. Three years of mini-tours, Monday qualifiers, and Q School taught me pretty quickly that there are no shortcuts in professional golf.

From there, the road took me everywhere. Korn Ferry Tour. PGA TOUR Canada. Back to the Korn Ferry Tour. PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. Back to Korn Ferry. Back to Latinoamérica. And back again.

It wasn’t a straight path, but every stop taught me something. How to compete. How to handle setbacks. How to prepare. How to find a way to get the next opportunity.

In 2022, I finally earned PGA TOUR status. That was a goal I had been chasing for a long time. It wasn’t the end of the journey, though. I’m still chasing the next PGA TOUR card, and I’m still competing for the same reason I started — I want to see how good I can get.

My faith in Jesus Christ is at the center of all of it. It shapes how I approach golf, my career, winning, losing, and everything that happens away from the course. I’m involved with College Golf Fellowship and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and both have given me opportunities to use golf to invest in other people and share what I’ve learned along the way.

Golf is a huge part of my life. But it isn’t my identity.

Then there’s Kelsey, who I met on eHarmony, and our two daughters. They’re the reason the miles, the travel, the wins, the losses, and everything in between are worth it.

“Sixteen years in, the reason hasn’t changed. I love the game, and I'm not finished with it yet.”
